Thank You from Summer Harp Festival Scholarship Recipient

From Angel Phan

My experience at the HBU harp camp was nothing short of amazing! As my first year here, I didn't know what to expect. However, I realized pretty quickly that this was a friendly environment. The other harpists were quick to befriend newcomers like me. I was used to being one of the few harpists in my school, so it was quite refreshing to see a room full of them! The workshops were especially helpful- I learned more than I thought I ever could on subjects like extended techniques, playing for weddings, and renaissance harps. It was so much fun to work with other harpists and even have some coaching on my solo! I am grateful for the many experiences and the opportunity to continue to expand my knowledge and repertoire through the Cynthia Cooper Memorial Scholarship. Thank you so much for the experience.
